Accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center provides residents with the opportunity to enhance their abilities with effective pharmaceutical care in a variety of settings. Sharp Grossmont Hospital - PGY1 Pharmacy Residency

Sharp Grossmont Hospital serves the east county area of San Diego. It is the largest not-for-profit, full-service acute care hospital in the region with 542 beds. The hospital has outstanding programs in heart care, orthopedics, rehabilitation, robotic surgery, mental health, stroke care and women’s health. In addition, the hospital’s Emergency and Critical Care Center is among the most technologically advanced in the nation. It is home to one of the busiest emergency departments in California, serving 105,000 patients annually, with 24/7 ED Pharmacist coverage. We are a Comprehensive Stroke Center designated by The Joint Commission in collaboration with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. A recent expansion included the Burr Heart and Vascular Center for more advanced cardiovascular procedures. Sharp Memorial Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Residency

Sharp Memorial Hospital is a 656-bed acute-care hospital recognized for nursing and patient care excellence, and is known for outstanding programs in heart and vascular care, cancer care, orthopedic and neurological services, physical rehabilitation, robotic surgery and organ transplantation. Designed to promote comfort and healing, the hospital features all private patient rooms and state-of-the-art surgery suites. Sharp PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency

Our PGY2 Critical Care Residency Program is a multi-site program based at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. The PGY2 Resident will gain hands-on clinical experience in interdisciplinary team-based care in diverse patient care settings at any of our four acute care hospitals.  We offer learning experiences that will provide invaluable opportunities for professional development in areas including but not limited to: MICU, SICU, emergency medicine, trauma, cardiology, solid organ transplant, infectious diseases, neonatal intensive care, and nutritional and metabolic support.
